Summary: Izzie’d always liked birthdays. But only when they weren’t her own.
Izzie’d always liked birthdays. But only when they weren’t her own. Maybe it had to do with the fact that she’d never had a proper one.
When she was little every year she would expect someone to yell “surprise!” when she walked through the door of her trailer, but that never happened. Then she would wait anyway till midnight for her mother to come home with a present, but that never happened too.
When she grew up she stopped having expectations. She spent that day baking a chocolate cake she would eat alone watching sappy movies sprawled on the couch. Slowly she begun to despise her birthday with a passion.
However this year she was reconsidering it while shifting her stare between the pile of presents and the way Addison wore her red dress, Izzie’s favorite. When she was sure nobody was watching them Addison approached and whispered seductively in her hear: “I’m going to give you only two clues. It has a red wrapping and isn’t with the others.”, before walking away and resuming her talk with the Chief.
Yeah. She was definitely starting to like her birthday. And particularly the birthday party Addison had in mind for her.
